The aero on Super GT cars makes the aero on the 2016 spec GTE cars look boring.

Look at how low the beltline is.
Swan-neck setup is wicked.
You know something? What looked really, bloody hideous on the road car worked surprisingly well on the race car. I called that during the press reveal.
OK, seriously Toyota. Mid-engine Prius.

That’s because the GT300 cars are limited to 300 hp, so the aero does much of the work.
Which is why it’d be fun to derestrict these cars, particularly the Prius shown in the comments section above.

And somehow they’re keeping the Prototype V8's. The hype is real.

I love these cars and their crazy aero. Glad to see these cars still racing alongside the new influx of GT3 cars in GT300. Will there be anymore of those “mother chassis” cars as well?

Prius and BRZ will be racing in GT300, but other entries for 2016 are not known yet. But expect SLS (maybe AMG GT for 2016), GT-R and RCF in GT3 Spec, Z4 (maybe M6 for 2016), R8, 911, 458 (maybe 488 for 2016), Gallardo (maybe Huracan for 2016), Evora (well, not sure for 2016...) and the Mp4 (maybe 650S for 2016). So the rest of the field is quite standard.
GT500 entries are not known either. But it is dominated by Japanese cars, so GT-R, NSX and RCF.
